Few people expected the former real-estate tycoon and reality TV star to win.

He trailed Hillary Clinton in the polls for most of the campaign.

She faces the challenge of finding a way to leave the Eu whilst holding on to favourable trade deals.

Despite the shadow of the Zika virus and the banning of more than 100 Russian athletes for doping, the 2016 Rio Olympics and Paralympics were a huge success for Brazil.

The home team won gold for football, while Jamaica\’s Usain Bolt cemented his global reputation, winning three golds take his tally to nine, from three games.

            ジカ熱、まん延

After an outbreak last year in Brazil, the mosquito-borne Zika virus was declared a global health emergency in February by the World Health Organization.

5.        Panama papers leak

           パナマ文書が明らかに

A treasure trove of secret documents leaked from a Panamanian law firm shone light on the ways wealthy individuals – including at least 12 national leaders – used offshore tax havens to avoid paying taxes.

Leaders from Russia to Britain were implicated in the leaks.

Iceland\’s Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson resigned because of them.
