In fact, you might consider it to be the most important holiday of the entire year. It is a time when the entire family comes together to celebrate and rebond. Of course, there is also the gift-giving aspect, which takes place to a lesser extent in Japan. However, the most crucial part of this time of year is to reconnect with family and to enjoy each others\’ company. The central event is a large meal that often takes the better part of a day to prepare.
